About

Ko te waiu o te kaikaranga ko te uha o te mauri oho a hine. Wāhine mā e ara e. The sustenance of the kaikaranga is the divine female energy. Women rise to your destiny.

Do you feel called? Do you want to be a part of a guild of sisters who can lovingly guide and support you to become more of the kaikaranga artisan you project yourself to be in the future? Many will enter the realm of kaikaranga but few develop their skill level to more than just the basics.

Ohinewaioranui Karanga Retreat focus will build the artistry and craftsmanship of the kaikaranga. If the Japanese have Geisha then the kaikaranga is our equivalent of that artisanship.

If you are seeking experience or mentoring, we as guild of kaikaranga will work to unfold the beauty and the challenges of what it will mean to hold this sacred space.

We offer this opportunity to build a supportive community who will meet you where you are, and to take you where you aspire to be.

As a kaikaranga guild we will:
• Share and develop aspects of knowledge, deportment, interpersonal or intrapersonal skills to know how to utilise the full gambit of the realm of roles the kaikaranga commands.
• Wrap around support, collegiality, progressive affirmation and critical conscience.
• Help you become more aware of how you want and need to create your artisanship of kaikaranga.

Aims:
1) Construct a code of practice
2) Determine a pathway of development
3) Prepare a work flow plan for the next 12 months

Objectives:
Regardless of your entry skill level you we will tailor an approach for you to meet the aims of the retreat/guild.

1) Kei hea koe? Where are you?
2) E aha ana koe? What are you doing?
3) Kei te aha koe? Are you alright?

These three questions are the tohu whakairo that Toi Te Huatahi sent forth in search of his mokopuna Whatonga who was some where out across the great ocean of Kiwa.

We ask these questions to understand our navigational territories and to mark where we are in our artisanship.

There is a whole universe of discovery waiting for you.

Register your expression of interest here: https://form.jotform.co/80657678700869 by Monday May 28.
