Turning The Tide Fundraising Walk

Turning The Tide Fundraising Walk

Start time: Sunday 8:00am (27 May)
End time: Sunday 2:30pm (27 May)

The Turning The Tide Fundraising Walk is an annual fundraising walk along the length of Muriwai Beach.

As well as raising funds for the women's refuge serving the northwest Auckland, it also raises awareness of family violence.

By joining our walk you are not only helping families make the changes needed to live in safety, but you are also joining others by collectively declaring we will not tolerate family violence in our community.

The inaugural walk in 2017 raised over $11,000 toward the employment of a part-time advocate.

Funds raised in 2018 will go towards family violence prevention and education in the community.

Help us Turn The Tide against family violence in our community.

This year we will meet at Muriwai Surf Life Saving Club at 8am to complete registration and from there everyone will be transported by bus to the start of the walk at Rimmer Road, leaving your car at the Surf Club.

At the end of your epic walk you'll be rewarded with a free BBQ at the Surf Club. (Food will be available for purchase for supporters and others).
