Would you like to experience greater ease and presence in your day-to-day life?

Join yogi Kate Southward from A Yogafied Life for her restorative yoga offering - Zen + Soften - A 7 week course hosted at Birkdale House, Birkdale Road, Auckland.

Join a group of like minded yogis and;

X Discover the skill of conscious relaxation

X Learn where you are holding tension in your body

X Create space to allow your relaxation response to kick in and drop out of fight or flight

X Learn about, be-friend and care for the whole of yourself

Aided by the support of yoga props (bolsters, blocks, blankets all provided) the purpose of restorative yoga is to return us to a place of being.

In this process we are able to step out of the hectic pace of our day to day and reconnect with a deep sense of inner peace and calm.

Due to the ceaseless demands on our time, the depleting nature of life, unobserved stress and anxiety can start to do real damage.

For optimal wellbeing and health it is essential we make time to release stress from our bodies and minds. In this way we are able to create greater presence for our most valuable relationships and creative work.

During these seven classes you will experience Kate's nourishing guidance, deeply softening and rejuvenating restorative asana sequences and hand made medicinal ayurvedic teas.

Each class will have a specific theme helping you to focus your practice and feeding thought on how to take your yoga off the mat and in to the world.

Also included in each class will be grounding breath practises and personal meditation. Kate will share her secrets on how to develop a sustainable daily meditation practice. An essential practice for living a balanced, inspired and grateful life. A Yogafied Life.

Logistics:

Location: Birkdale House, 134 Birkdale Road
Every Thursday 7:15 - 8:25pm
Class starts May 3rd (First Thursday back after school holidays) and runs until June 21st

(With one week break on Thursday the 24th of May)
There are seven classes in total, over eight weeks.

The intended nature of this course is similar to Kate's one-on-one coaching, personalised and intimate. That said space is limited to just 10 students. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
